IF:Gathering 2020 | by Andrea McMaster
I have quite a few favorite things about IF:Gathering weekend, but near the very top of the list is seeing women come together from so many different churches. There is just something that feels right, powerful and peaceful about gathering with women from a variety of denominations, backgrounds, ages and seasons of life. I think it's because it helps us remember we all need Jesus and we all need one another.
IF:Wayzata Free was one of the 3,000 IF:Locals that gathered in more than 100 countries to watch the livestream women's conference out of Dallas, Texas on February 7 and 8. Some of the speakers featured included Jennie Allen, Jada Edwards, Beth Moore, Sadie Robertson and Bianca Oltholff.
We studied Romans 8 and the choices we are faced with everyday. A mind set on the flesh (the world) is death and a mind set on the Spirit leads to life and peace. We are more than conquerors - so how are we living like it? Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ and there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, so live in freedom not in condemnation.
The conference ended with a challenge for each of us to fight the enemies’ lies with Truth and to make sure we don’t go on living in our old ways or conform to the patterns of the world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
“Every single person in the Bible besides Jesus was broken, afraid, insecure, fearful, busy, did not have enough money, did not have enough of anything and God moved through them to change history.” - Jennie Allen, founder of IF:Gathering
How can God move through you?
